Karman Employees Come Together for a Worthy Cause
Karman employees, families and friends recently rallied in support of the fight against Juvenile Diabetes in the 2010 Walk for a Cure. "We set a fund raising goal and surpassed it. We're proud of our employees and their participation in this and other community support efforts." stated Lisa Jensen, Karman's Human Resources Manager. She also cited a company bake sale that resulted in contented smiles and hundreds of dollars more in support for the cause, while pointing out that "one of Karman's own has lived with it most of his life, so the cause is close to our employees' hearts."
The American Diabetes Association states that Juvenile Diabetes currently affects over a million young americans, while 1.6 million new cases of type II are diagnosed in adults aged 20 years and older each year.
